Our Commitment: TerminalX is built with privacy in mind. Your SSH credentials and connection data are stored locally on your device using Apple's Secure Enclave technology. We do not have access to your servers or credentials.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how MixxAI ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use TerminalX ("the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you understand how your data is handled.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information Stored Locally (On Your Device)

The following data is stored only on your device and is NOT transmitted to our servers:

  • SSH Credentials: Server addresses, usernames, passwords, and SSH keys are stored in Apple's Secure Enclave/Keychain
  • Connection Profiles: Your saved server connections and settings
  • Terminal History: Command history and session logs
  • Snippets: Your saved command snippets
  • App Preferences: Theme, font, and other settings

2.2 Information Synced via iCloud

If you enable iCloud sync, the following data may be synced across your devices:

  • Connection profiles (excluding passwords/keys which use iCloud Keychain)
  • Command snippets
  • App preferences

This data is encrypted and managed by Apple's iCloud infrastructure. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

2.3 Information Processed by Third-Party AI Services

When you use AI features, the following may be sent to AI providers (OpenAI or Anthropic):

  • Your text queries and questions
  • Terminal context you choose to include
  • Error messages you ask for help with

Important: We recommend not including sensitive information (passwords, API keys, personal data) in AI queries.

2.4 Information We May Collect

We may collect minimal anonymous analytics to improve the App:

  • App version and device type
  • Crash reports (via Apple's crash reporting)
  • Feature usage statistics (anonymized)

4.2 AI Providers

When using AI features, your queries are processed according to each provider's privacy policy. You can choose which AI provider to use or disable AI features entirely.

5. Data Security

We implement multiple layers of security:

  • Local Encryption: Sensitive data is encrypted using Apple's Secure Enclave
  • No Server Storage: We do not store your credentials on our servers
  • Secure Connections: All SSH connections use industry-standard encryption
  • Biometric Protection: Optional Face ID/Touch ID protection for the App

6. Data Retention

  • Local Data: Stored until you delete the App or clear data
  • iCloud Data: Synced according to your iCloud settings
  • AI Queries: Retention depends on AI provider policies
  • Crash Reports: Retained by Apple for up to 25 months

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: View your data within the App
  • Delete: Delete your data by removing the App or using in-app options
  • Export: Export your connection profiles
  • Control: Disable iCloud sync or AI features
  • Opt-out: Disable analytics in device settings

8. Children's Privacy

TerminalX is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

9. International Data Transfers

When using AI features, your data may be processed in countries where AI providers operate. By using these features, you consent to such transfers.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, through the App.
